An assortment of craft supplies is arranged on a clear rectangular tray placed on a light wood-grain surface. The tray contains a clear bowl of flour, a ball of blue yarn, an empty clear plastic bottle, a white plastic spoon, a black marker, a pair of blue-handled scissors, a few small deflated balloons in various colors, and a pile of small googly eyes. These items appear to be gathered for a craft project.

Step-by-step tutorial

Step 1

Use scissors to cut the plastic bottle and trim its edges.

Two hands are shown cutting a clear plastic bottle against a light wood-grain background. One hand holds the bottle upside down near its cap, while the other hand uses a pair of blue-handled scissors to cut off the top portion of the bottle.
Step 2

Take a balloon and inflate it, then let the air out. This helps the balloon stretch so it can hold more flour.

Two hands pinch the neck of a pale blue, uninflated balloon against a light wood-grain background. The balloon is round and smooth, and the hands are positioned near the balloon's opening, presumably preparing to inflate it.
Step 3

Fit the deflated balloon over the mouth of the plastic bottle.

Against a light wood-grain background, two hands are shown attaching a deflated pale blue balloon to the open top of a clear plastic bottle. The top of the bottle appears to have been cut off, and the hands are stretching the balloon's opening over the bottle's rim to create a seal.
Step 4

Using the spoon, add flour into the plastic bottle. Shake the bottle to help the flour slide into the balloon until it's full.

Two hands engage in a simple kitchen task on a clear plastic tray placed on a light wooden table. One hand holds a clear cup containing a white liquid, possibly water or milk, while the other hand uses a white spoon to scoop flour from a clear bowl. The scene suggests the initial steps of preparing a dough or batter.
Step 5

Next, tie off the flour-filled balloon tightly to ensure no flour leaks out.

Two hands hold a small, pale blue balloon against a light wood-grain background. The balloon is tied off at the neck and appears slightly inflated, giving it a somewhat oblong shape. One hand supports the body of the balloon, while the other hand pinches the knotted end.
Step 6

Choose your favourite colour of yarn and cut about 20 pieces, each 7cm long.

Against a light wood-grain background, two hands are shown using scissors to trim a bundle of blue yarn. One hand holds the yarn, which has been cut into numerous short strands to create a fringe-like appearance. The other hand holds a pair of blue-handled scissors, actively trimming the ends of the yarn pieces to make them even.
Step 7

Tie the yarn pieces around the knotted end of the balloon.

Two hands hold a pale blue balloon with a small bundle of blue yarn tied around its top against a light wood-grain background. The yarn is spread out, resembling a small tuft or tassel. The hands gently grip the sides of the balloon, which appears to be inflated to a moderate size.
Step 8

Take the self-adhesive googly eyes and stick them on the balloon. Decorate your stress ball however you like.

Two hands are shown in the process of creating a simple figure out of a pale blue balloon against a light wood-grain background. The balloon has a tuft of blue yarn attached to the top, resembling hair. One hand holds the balloon while the other hand applies two large, circular googly eyes with bright blue irises to the balloon's surface, giving it a face.
Step 9

Finally, use the marker pen to draw your favourite expression on the balloon.

Against a light wood-grain background, two hands are shown completing a balloon creature. The pale blue balloon has a tuft of blue yarn for hair and two googly eyes with bright blue irises. A hand holding a black marker is drawing a wavy, slightly downturned line on the balloon below the eyes to create a whimsical, almost sad-looking mouth. The other hand holds the balloon steady.
Step 10

Now try squeezing and stretching your flour stress ball!

Two hands hold and gently manipulate a small, light blue, balloon-like figure against a light wooden background. The figure has a single googly eye, a wavy line for a mouth, and a tuft of blue yarn tied at the top to resemble hair. The hands press and shape the figure, demonstrating its soft and pliable nature.
