An overhead flatlay image displays art supplies arranged on a light wooden table. A clear plastic tray holds a blank white sheet of paper. Next to the tray are two small bottles of paint, one pink and one red, a can of shaving cream, a black marker, a blue pencil, a wooden craft stick, and a pair of scissors. These materials suggest preparation for a craft activity involving marbling or painting techniques.

Step-by-step tutorial

Step 1

Take the card paper and fold it in half twice.

Two hands are holding open a blank white folded card, presumably to write in it. The card is positioned on a light wooden surface. A soft, fluffy material in shades of pink and teal is partially visible in the top left corner. The image suggests a stationery or card-making context.
Step 2

Using a pencil, draw a heart on the folded card paper. Cut along the pencil lines with scissors. This will give you 4 heart-shaped pieces of card.

On a light woodgrain table, a hand holding a blue pencil is drawing a heart shape on a piece of white paper. Another hand is partially visible on the left side of the image. The focus is on the act of drawing the heart.
Step 3

Next, fill the tray with shaving foam.

A clear rectangular tray sits on a light woodgrain surface. The tray is filled with a thick layer of white shaving cream, spread evenly across its surface. The texture of the shaving cream is visible, with swirls and peaks. This setup suggests preparation for a sensory activity or a craft project.
Step 4

Squeeze different colours of acrylic paint onto the shaving foam.

A clear tray containing a smooth layer of white shaving cream sits on a light wooden surface. Drops of pink and red paint have been added to the shaving cream, creating a pattern of color against the white background. This appears to be the setup for a marbling or painting activity.
Step 5

Use a lolly stick to swirl the paint as shown.

A hand uses a craft stick to swirl pink and red paint drops into a layer of white shaving cream spread within a clear tray. The tray rests on a light wooden surface. A second hand is partially visible in the bottom left corner, holding the tray steady. This process appears to be creating a marbled effect in the shaving cream. A fluffy, light-colored material is visible in the top left corner.
Step 6

Take your cut-out heart cards and place them on the swirled shaving foam, ensuring the card makes full contact with the foam.

A hand presses a white heart-shaped cutout onto a layer of shaving cream marbled with pink and red paint. The shaving cream sits in a clear tray on a light wooden table. Some unmarbled white shaving cream is visible around the edges of the tray. A fluffy, light-colored material is partially visible in the top left corner. This image appears to depict a stage in a marbling craft project.
Step 7

Use a lolly stick to scrape off the excess shaving foam from the cards. Your printed cards are now taking shape.

Two hands are visible on a light woodgrain surface. One hand holds a white heart shape, now marbled with pink and red paint, presumably transferred from the shaving cream marbling process seen in previous images. The other hand uses a wooden craft stick to scrape excess shaving cream from the marbled heart.
Step 8

Once the cards are dry, write your message using marker pens, and your heart greeting cards are complete!

Three heart-shaped cards rest on a light woodgrain surface. Each heart features a marbled pink and white design, created with paint and shaving cream. The first heart has a drawing of stacked gifts and the words I ♡ U. The second heart reads Happy Valentines Day and features a drawing of a cat holding a heart. A hand is seen writing on the third heart, which has a small flower drawing and the partially completed phrase I Love U.

Six hand-decorated Valentine's Day hearts lie on a fluffy, light blue and pink background. Each heart is white with a marbled pink design and features simple black ink drawings and messages. Two of the hearts say Happy Valentines Day, one with a drawing of a cat holding a heart, the other with small stars. Two hearts have drawings of stacked presents and the message I ♡ U. One heart has the message I Love U with a small flower, and the final heart has the word LOVE with a drawing of a ribbon-tied bouquet and small stars.
