  • Paper cups
  • Cotton buds
  • Clips
  • Double-sided tape
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
A flat lay arrangement of various craft supplies is displayed on a light wood grain table. The items include a blank sheet of white paper, a gray pencil, three white markers with colored caps, a small blue bottle cap, a pair of googly eyes, a small white paper cup, a roll of clear tape, a pair of small scissors, a wooden ruler, two cotton swabs, and a small wooden clothespin. These materials appear to be gathered for a children's craft or DIY project.

Step-by-step tutorial

Step 1

Take the card paper and fold it in half twice.

An overhead view shows two identical small white paper cups placed upside down on a light wood-grained surface. Inside each cup, a rectangular shape is drawn on the bottom. The rectangle's dimensions are labeled, indicating a width of 1cm and a length of 3cm. This image likely illustrates a step in a craft project or experiment where the marked rectangles serve as a guide for cutting or modifying the cups.
Step 2

Use scissors to cut cotton buds into 3cm sections.

A hand holds a cotton swab horizontally positioned between the blades of a pair of open scissors, poised to cut the swab's wooden stick. The scissors have dark blue handles and metal blades. The background is a light wood-grained surface, and a small piece of a previously cut cotton swab stick lies on the surface to the upper left. The image demonstrates the action of cutting a cotton swab in half for a craft or other purpose.
Step 3

Draw two 1cm x 3cm rectangles on the card paper and cut them out.

Two hands are shown interacting with a piece of white paper and a clear plastic ruler on a light wood-grained table. One hand holds a gray pencil and uses it to draw a straight line along the edge of the ruler. The other hand holds the ruler in place on the paper. Two rectangular shapes are lightly drawn in the upper left corner of the paper. The image suggests someone is following precise measurements for a drawing or craft project.
Step 4

Insert the 3cm cotton bud stick through the centre of the card paper.

Two hands are assembling a small cross-shaped object made from thin wooden sticks and a small strip of clear tape on a light wood-grained surface. One completed cross lies on the table in the upper left corner, while the hands are in the process of taping the two sticks of the second cross together in the center of the image. This suggests a step-by-step illustration of a simple craft project.
Step 5

Next, use markers to draw snowman decorations on the card paper.

On a piece of white paper resting on a light wood-grained table, several simple drawings are depicted. These include two Santa hats (one red with white trim and one red with white stripes), two small orange carrot noses, six colorful buttons with plus sign details, and four dark gray stick-like shapes resembling bare tree branches. A hand holding a white marker is coloring in one of the tree branch shapes. The arrangement suggests the creation of a holiday-themed craft or drawing activity.
Step 6

Carefully cut out the decorations along the outer edges.

A pair of hands is cutting a piece of white paper with scissors. Drawn on the paper are various craft elements, including two Santa hats, colorful buttons, carrot noses, and four dark gray stick-like shapes, likely representing tree branches. The scissors, held in one hand, are in the process of cutting out one of the branch shapes. The other hand holds the paper steady. The image depicts a step in a crafting process, likely creating holiday-themed decorations.
Step 7

Place the bottle cap on the card paper, trace around it to create 2 circles, and cut them out.

Two hands are shown tracing a circle on a piece of white paper placed on a light wood-grained table. One hand holds a small blue plastic bottle cap against the paper, while the other hand uses a gray pencil to trace around the cap's edge. A lightly drawn circle is already visible to the left of the bottle cap, indicating a previous tracing. This image depicts the process of creating circular shapes using a common household item as a template.
Step 8

Apply double-sided tape to the back of the snowman decorations and arrange them on the circular card paper as you like. Your snowman's head is now complete.

Two crafted snowman faces are displayed on a light wood-grained background. Each face is a white circle with googly eyes, an orange carrot nose, and a Santa hat. The snowman on the left wears a red Santa hat with yellow dots, and has a slight smile. The snowman on the right wears a red and white striped Santa hat and has a surprised expression with an open o shaped mouth. These appear to be handmade Christmas decorations.
Step 9

Place the cotton bud stick from step 4 in the groove at the bottom of the paper cup, as shown. Then turn the cup over and clip the card paper inside the cup with the clips.

A hand interacts with a small, white paper cup placed upside down on a light wooden surface. A rectangular hole has been cut into the base of the cup, and a toothpick is inserted through it. The hand gently presses on the toothpick, seemingly testing a mechanism or construction involving the cup.
Step 10

Attach the snowman's head to the other end of the rectangular card paper.

Two cheerful snowman figures, crafted from paper, are perched atop white paper cups on a light wood-grained surface. Each snowman has a round white face with googly eyes and a carrot nose. The snowman on the left sports a red Santa hat with yellow dots and a smile. The snowman on the right wears a red and white striped Santa hat and has a surprised expression with an o shaped mouth. The image showcases a simple, festive craft project.
Step 11

Stick the remaining decorations on the snowman paper cup.

Two adorable snowman figures, crafted from paper cups and paper cutouts, stand on a light wood-grained surface. Each snowman's body is a white cup adorned with three colorful buttons marked with Xs. They have round white heads with googly eyes, carrot noses, and Santa hats. The snowman on the left wears a red and white striped hat and has a surprised expression. The snowman on the right wears a red hat with yellow dots and is smiling. Dark paper arms extend from each snowman, and they appear to be holding hands, completing this festive craft project.
Step 12

Gently push the snowman's head, and it will start bobbling.

Two charming paper cup snowmen are displayed on a light wood-grained table with festive Christmas decorations in the background. The snowmen are made from white cups, each decorated with three colorful buttons marked with Xs. They have round white heads with googly eyes, orange carrot noses, and Santa hats. The snowman on the left wears a red Santa hat with yellow dots and has a smiling expression. The snowman on the right wears a red and white striped Santa hat and looks surprised. Both snowmen have outstretched arms made of black paper. Wrapped presents and a decorated Christmas tree are visible behind the snowmen, adding to the holiday scene.
